About Wendy

Wendy leads the IP advisory and dispute practice of Eldan Law LLP. Between 2008 – 2017, Wendy was a partner with one of the largest law firm in Singapore and Southeast Asia. She had been profiled as one of the “50 IP Litigators You Should Know” in the Asia Pacific region and had been consistently awarded the IP Star by Managing IP in 2014 – 2017.

Raised by her grandmother in Tiong Bahru, Wendy returns to Tanjong Pagar to take woman leadership to the frontline. Wendy had advocated for women issues with various NGOs in Hong Kong and Singapore, including with AWARE. More recently, Wendy has been volunteering with Justice Without Borders, a cross-border NGO to provide pro bono legal assistance to domestic workers who had been abused or unfairly treated in their workplace in Singapore. She also volunteers with various youth camps and NGOs that distribute food and rations to the homeless in Singapore, which a recent survey suggests numbered about 1,000

Start-ups and SMEs form the backbone of Singapore’s economy and Wendy hopes to tap on her IP/tech legal skills to help catapult local businesses to the global platform, starting from the shops in the neighbourhood. Every business transformed can enhance the livelihoods of their families and employees, and it is this firm belief that drives her to contribute through politics.

Wendy also hopes to preserve local art, culture and heritage, and leverage on technology to empower women, freelancers and local communities to gain meaningful and home-based employment. It is from knowing ourselves and preserving our craftsmenship that we can truly distinguish Singaporeans from an increasingly globalised and homogenised world economy.
