This is the holiest month on the Islamic calendar when Muslims fast daily from dawn to dusk. It is a time of spritual discipline and renewing relationship with God. Observing Ramadan is considered one of the 5 pillars of Islam.
Buka Puasa is an annual event during which PSP celebrates with our Muslim members and community at large to foster inter-racial camaraderie.
We did a hybrid Buka Puasa this year with zoom participants at home and our leaders hosting friends at Dr Tan Cheng Bock’s home.
After prayers, Dr Tan served dates to our Muslim guests followed by an evening meal sans cutlery. It was indeed a warm and meaningful time of fellowship.
Let’s continue to support our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters as they fulfil their religious commitment this month.
