Dr Tan sends his National Day Message and Party Greetings
As we are celebrating the 55th birthday for Singapore, I like to take a moment to thank our essential workers and the frontline medical staff who continue to combat COVID19 and keeping the virus at bay.
We are losing jobs due to this COVID19 pandemic and entire industries are fighting for survival. Worryingly, there is also a risk of COVID19 re-emerging – a real threat to the lives and livelihoods of Singaporeans.
However, we are resilient as a nation. We are confident that Singapore can get back on its feet. As a country, we are maturing in the way we solve problems – with an open mind and a real willingness to accept change.
We got a glimpse of that capacity for change in the recent elections. Some Singaporeans have shown that in order to leave a better Singapore for our future generations, they are willing to challenge the status quo and push the boundaries.
At PSP, we have a team of motivated individuals who have been looking at new and alternative solutions and policies. As we navigate this space, I would like to invite all Singaporeans to join us in charting the way.
In the meantime, I would like to wish all Singaporeans a Happy National Day, stay safe and don’t forget to observe proper social distancing.
For Country, For People.
