A New Year, A New Tradition

Dr Tan Cheng Bock and Mrs Tan always celebrate the 2nd day of Chinese New Year at their home with their friends and relatives.

And this year, there is a fabulous reason to build on our tradition and to hold it at the newly refurbished party HQ at Bukit Timah Shopping Centre. Doc decided to extend his hospitality from the comfort and convenience of the freshly retrofitted premises.

Over 200 people tucked into delectable finger food and soaked the festive cheer of the occasion, our very first members’ engagement at this venue.

Members’ celebratory mood and sense of pride with the new premises was remarkable, shared with invited guests from other political parties. There is backstory in every conversation as to how we met and why we joined this movement. There was appreciation of effort and firm handshakes, acknowledging mutual commitment and camaraderie, amidst the ‘kong hee fatt choy’.

Many of us sense the emergence of a popular and potent party that is here to stay and make a difference to our political landscape.

May the Year of the Rat (the first animal in the Chinese zodiac) be significant in heralding the first step in Singapore’s major political transformation, with PSP leading the charge.

Wishing everyone a happy new year!
