In 2008, he started his own camera manufacturing company in Shenzhen, China, and stayed there for 12 years.
He returned to Singapore in 2020 and served as the Secretary-General of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) from 2020 to 2023.
During his tenure as Secretary-General of the SMF, Lawrence fought for and supported the interests of Singaporean manufacturers in discussions with government agencies and foreign embassies, as manufacturing contributes more than 20% of Singapore’s GDP.
The digitalization and awareness of sustainability models for Singaporean manufacturers and SMEs was a key priority for Lawrence when he served as Secretary-General of the SMF.
Lawrence has been actively walking the ground with PSP since 2023.
